List of Lysine Acetyltransferases in Mammals Along the Nephron


Below are the lysine acetyltransferases found in mammals and where they are expressed along the rat nephron. Lysine acetyltransferases must bind acetyl-Coenzyme A and have a catalytic domain. BLAST searches with conserved catalytic domains were completed to identify putative novel lysine acetyltransferases. Proteins that may have acetyltransferase activity, but lack experimental evidence for intrinsic activity are listed as putative lysine acetyltransferases.

This database provides median RPKM values for the transcriptome of 14 separate renal tubule segments in untreated male Sprague-Dawley rats (200-250 g BW). The number of replicates is shown in parentheses. The rat RNA-Seq analysis of microdissected rat kidney tubule segments was published by: Lee JW, Chou CL, and Knepper MA.
