ESBL (Knepper Lab) Procedures for FigShare Data Deposition

NIH has a new data sharing policy that requires extensive data sharing starting in January, 2023. FigShare is a data archiving service that NHLBI subscribes to for this purpose.

The ESBL has a special user account that allows all ESBL members to use the same login to allow access by all ESBL members. You can use FigShare to archive virtually every type of data in any file format. You will need to supply metadata in the form of a fairly detailed description of the data and how it was obtained. When you Publish the data by clicking on Publish on the FigShare interface, FigShare will generate a DOI URL that you can put in your manuscript.

Do not login using your PIV card. That will take you to the wrong place.

The login site is https://nhlbi.figshare.com/account/login.

The login name is knepperm@helix.nih.gov.

FigShare has allocated 20GB of storage to the account initially, but we can request more. The account name is currently "Knepper Lab".
