This database provides median FPKM values for the transcriptome of renal late distal convoluted tubule (DCT2) cells /connecting tubule (CNT) cells/initial cortical collecting duct (iCCD) principal cells from TRPV5 eGFP male mice treated with vehicle or aldosterone for 6 days.
Brief Method: Cells were isolated by FACS from mice expressing EGFP in DCT2 cells, CNT cells and iCCD principal cells. Mice were either treated with vehicle (5% DMSO and physiological saline, n = 7) or aldosterone (100 µg aldosterone kg-1 24 h-1 in 5% DMSO and physiological saline, n = 7). RNA was extracted using Qiagen’s RNeasy Micro kit and RNA-Seq libraries were prepared using Illumina’s TruSeq RNA Sample prep kit. Sequencing was performed using a Hiseq 2000 sequencer and obtained sequences were aligned to the UCSC Mus musculus genome index, mm10.
Inclusion Criteria:
The work was performed at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University, Denmark and the Systems Biology Center, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Database is hosted by the Epithelial Systems Biology Laboratory (Mark Knepper, Chief) at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute as part of its Kidney Systems Biology Project.
