Database of Vasopressin Regulation in Kidney (mRNA Targets)

    This database reports actions of vasopressin or its analogs on mRNA levels in kidney epithelia, culled from the literature. Please report additions or corrections to knep@helix.nih.gov. If there are any data that you would like to add to the database, please fill out this data submission sheet. The database was created by Callan C. Corcoran, Akshay Sanghi, Matthew Zaringhalam, Fahad Saeed, Jason Hoffert, Pablo Sandoval, Trairak Pisitkun, and Mark Knepper in the Epithelial Systems Biology Laboratory of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

   The data are presented in the form of 'triplets' consisting of 'subject', 'verb phrase', and 'direct object' in the first three columns. The direct objects are given as official gene symbols. These triplets are equivalent to node-edge-node units in a directed graph. Columns following the first three indicate ancillary information that can be viewed as as prepositional phrases or parenthetical information. This triplet sentence structure is utilized to allow the database to be read either by humans or computers.
